Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our Ofsted-regulated children’s home supporting young people aged 7–17 with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a responsible role for confident, calm professionals who understand trauma-informed care and can provide safe, consistent support within a structured residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting young people with daily routines, education, and activities
• Providing emotional support and maintaining professional boundaries
• Managing behaviour positively using de-escalation techniques
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times
• Writing clear reports, daily logs and incident records
• Supporting care plans and risk assessments
• Working as part of a team across day, evening and sleep-in shifts
Requirements:
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year children’s residential care experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins
• Strong safeguarding knowledge
• Calm, resilient and professional approach
