A supportive primary school in Salford is currently recruiting a motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately, with the position running through to the end of the academic year.

Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Full-time role starting ASAP
Earn between £500 - £560 per week as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Consistent placement within a supportive Salford primary school
Work with pupils across KS1 and KS2
Excellent experience for those considering Education Psychology and other SEN pathways
Applicants must hold a 2:1 degree or higher in a Psychology-related degree
Any previous experience with children – schools, volunteering, youth work – is valued
Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN, emotional or behavioural needs
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to deliver targeted interventions

In the role of Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play an active part in supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development. This may include providing targeted one-to-one support for children with additional needs, as well as working with small groups to develop confidence, social interaction, and emotional resilience. The position offers valuable insight into how psychological principles are applied within an educational setting, making it an excellent stepping stone towards further study or careers in SEN, behaviour support, or mental health.
