Inspire EHC is seeking a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in King's Lynn. The school supports children with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs in a nurturing, trauma‑informed environment.
Pupils may experience anxiety, low confidence, emotional dysregulation, challenging behaviour, social communication difficulties, ADHD/ADD, or needs linked to past trauma.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group SEMH support
- Use trauma‑informed and de-escalation strategies
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills
- Support personalised learning programmes and consistent routines
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
About You
- Experience with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
- Calm, patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Confident supporting challenging behaviour
- Full UK driving licence required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
