They need to operate to a very high standard to deliver against customer expectations.About the Role SPT is seeking an experienced individual, for the role of Bus Stations Manager, who cares about driving standards and delivering continuous improvements across the region’s bus stations.As a member of the Transport Operations team, you will be responsible for the safe operation and security of all bus stations within SPT’s remit. You will lead the Bus Stations operations team, ensuring appropriate resources for all operational needs. You will manage all resources, budgets, people and assets including development of budgets and resource plans in line with SPT’s corporate position.The Bus Stations Manager will continually review and innovate SPT’s approach to front line customer services, make recommendations for improvement and develop an action plan for implementation in partnership with management colleagues. You will also manage engagement with unions where necessary to support the delivery of the business requirements and participate in the development of any future proposals for bus station operations.Further details of the role and key responsibilities are set out in the job description. The nature of this role may require you to work outwith normal office hours on occasion to support the operational requirements.You will be based at Buchanan Bus Station, Killermont Street, Glasgow.Please note, this position falls into the medium risk category under the Alcohol and Drugs policy and therefore is subject to random and for-cause testing procedures.About YouYou will have in-depth knowledge of operational environments and legislative requirements delivering compliance across the operational estate. You will also have in-depth knowledge of safety management processes, techniques, control measures and security matters relating to bus stations and transport operations.The successful candidate will have experience of leading and managing operational teams and effective resource management to deliver operational requirements and customer expectations.You will be a highly motivated, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be reliable and flexible individual who is able to collaborate with partners, build a team around a common purpose and be effective and calm under pressure.It is essential that the successful candidate has a degree in a relevant discipline or demonstrable relevant experience.
