Summary

We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic individual to join our maternity administration team to work as a MBT Admin assistant within our Antenatal Outpatients multi-disciplinary team.

This role will involve supporting the Maternity Referrals process by registering new patients onto EPIC, booking their appointments and ultrasound scans, in line with national guidance.
It will also involve jointly manning the busy Maternity appointments phone line, taking calls from patients about appointment changes, requests and questions etc.

You will also be monitoring/actioning relevant EPIC workqueues as required.
This role will have a significant and direct impact on our patients experiences and will also involve rescheduling and cancelling clinics when needed and responding to EPIC in-basket, secure chats and email inbox queries.

The successful applicant will be patient focused with excellent customer care skills and an eye for detail. They will enjoy daily interactions with patients, visitors, and multidisciplinary hospital staff.

We are looking for candidates who are seeking an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge across the different areas to be covered. The work will be interesting and varied, giving good grounding for career progression.

This role will be an integral part of the administration team working within a clinical setting.
The post holder will be providing a high quality, comprehensive range of administrative duties.

The main duties of the role include:

- Actioning maternity booking team referrals
- Jointly manning the maternity phone tree
- Liaising with a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and administrators
- Interacting with patients including resolving queries and complaints in person, via email or telephone
- Participating in service improvement projects
- Epic Work queue and waiting list management.
