Summary

ICT OFFICER - BUSINESS SUPPORT SPECIALIST (ACFS) - FIXED TERM
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the ICT Business Support Specialist (BSS) Team who provide support to Adults Social Care Services (ASC) and Children, Young People & Family Services (CYP&FS) together known as Adults and Childrens Services (ACFS).
This is an important role in the delivery of a responsive and strategically driven ICT and Digital service to ACFS business areas. Key to this, is to ensure the service effectively responds to the challenges, problems and opportunities encountered by the Adults and Children’s Family Service areas change and improvement programmes, and in line with National Corporate and ICT programmes.
The postholder will support the users of education and social care systems and also ensure key ICT and Digital solutions are maintained for a range of products for the service areas including Liquidlogic LAS, LCS & EHM, ContrOCC, Synergy Education and CorePlus systems, and incorporating corporate solutions. You will work alongside other ICT Officers and Senior ICT Officers to provide support and assistance with resolving support calls and delivering new solutions and system enhancements.
We are looking to appoint a creative and self-motivated individual who has excellent ICT and communication skills. The role requires a thorough working knowledge and experience of Liquidlogic LAS or LCS/EHM, and of Synergy Education suite and an understanding of other systems which they have integration with. You will have the skills to work well with colleagues at all levels and be able to respond to complex queries using technology solutions in response to business problems. In addition, you will have a good awareness of the Council’s current and future ICT application portfolio.
Specifically, the successful candidates will:

Assist Senior Business Support colleagues in understanding user issues and the needs of Adults and Childrens Family Services
Demonstrate a good understanding of service desk functions and support systems and how they support Social Care or Education Systems
Have the ability to interrogate systems as required, ensuring business continuity through system availability
Support the business areas by carrying out any necessary tasks and functions on business critical application systems
Provide adequate ICT system controls to ensure Data Protection, access for Freedom of Information requests, Security & User permissions etc.
Liaise with 3rd part support suppliers
Provide support, guidance, and occasional training in provision of a service desk function to users of Social Care and Education systems as part of the local Service Level Agreement.
