About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and skilled Specialist Speech, Language and Communication Therapist to join our dedicated and forward-thinking Central team, part of The Mead Educational Trust (TMET).

The role will involve providing high-quality specialist input in speech, language and communication across the school, with a focus on early identification of needs, accurate assessment, effective intervention and the delivery of high-impact staff development to support inclusive practice.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who can demonstrate:
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

• The ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Proven experience or strong knowledge of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) in an educational or child-centred setting.
• The ability to carry out assessments, observations and targeted interventions that lead to measurable impact for pupils.
• Experience of working collaboratively with teachers, SEND teams, families and external professionals to support children with additional needs.
• Confidence in supporting and developing staff practice, including delivering CPD, coaching or modelling effective strategies.
• A clear understanding of inclusive practice, SEND legislation and graduated approaches to support, including EHCP processes.
• Strong communication, organisation and record-keeping skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and contribute to professional documentation.
• A proactive, reflective and solution-focused approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and to securing the best outcomes for all learners.
