About the Role

Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in a village setting in Leicestershire (LE12). The school supports pupils aged 7-16, offering a calm, therapeutic environment designed to help students rebuild trust, develop emotional regulation and re-engage with learning.
Pupils are taught in small groups with high levels of staff support, allowing for strong relationships and personalised learning. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils across a broad and engaging curriculum, including Life Skills, PE, Art, Cooking and Forest School.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Support teachers in delivering structured and engaging lessons
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional development and resilience
- Help pupils build essential social, life and learning skills
- Contribute to a safe, supportive and well-managed learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH or SEN
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
