About the role
We’re looking for an experienced HRIS Team Lead to take ownership of Serco’s HR systems, ensuring they are accurate, secure and fit for purpose. This is a pivotal role, leading the day-to-day HRIS operation while driving system improvements, automation and high-quality delivery of pay and collective bargaining changes.
Working closely with Payroll, Finance, HR and IT, you’ll play a key role in improving the experience of employees and managers across the organisation, while ensuring strong governance, data integrity and audit readiness.
What you’ll be doing

Leading day-to-day HRIS operations, ensuring system stability, data accuracy and timely incident resolution

Managing system configuration, master data, permissions and role-based security

Coordinating testing, release management and deployment of system enhancements

Delivering HRIS activity across multiple APR system processes, ensuring consistency and compliance

Supporting the accurate technical delivery of collective bargaining and pay changes

Partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance and IT to ensure seamless end-to-end processes

Leading data governance, GDPR compliance and audit readiness

Driving opportunities for automation, simplification and improved user experience

Line managing HRIS Analysts, building capability and high performance
What you’ll bring

Strong experience in an HRIS or HR systems leadership role

Excellent understanding of HR data, system controls and governance

Experience supporting pay, APR or reward-related system activity

Proven ability to work collaboratively with Payroll, Finance, HR and IT
-
A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation

Strong communication skills, able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience leading and developing teams
