About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our specialist operation. This role is not general car work — you must have strong experience with commercial or light commercial vehicles, with particular emphasis on Ford Transits.
This is a hands-on role involving diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and engine work.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosing faults on commercial vehicles using live data and scan tools
- Mechanical repairs including engines, fuel systems, timing, injectors, and turbo systems
- Engine strip-downs, inspections, and rebuilds
- DPF, SCR, AdBlue, and emissions fault diagnosis
- Removal and refitting of used and new parts
- Road testing and post-repair verification
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
Requirements
- Proven experience working on commercial or light commercial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of Ford Transit platforms (2.2 / 2.4 / Euro 4–6 preferred)
- Confident with diagnostics and fault finding (not just parts fitting)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own tools required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
