About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our growing specialist workshop. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in the motor trade, particularly within commercial and light commercial vehicles.
You do not need your own tools for this role — training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting senior technicians with vehicle servicing and repairs
- Learning diagnostics using industry tools (e.g. FORScan, Snap-on)
- Supporting engine strip-downs, rebuilds, and component inspections
- Removing and refitting mechanical components under supervision
- Basic servicing tasks (filters, fluids, brakes, etc.)
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
- Learning correct procedures for used and new parts fitting
Requirements
- Strong interest in the motor trade / vehicle mechanics
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
- Positive attitude and good work ethic
- Basic mechanical understanding preferred but not essential
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
