Summary

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: East End, Glasgow

Working Conditions: Hybrid - 3 days office (minimum), 2 days home. 35 hours per week.

Role Preview

This is a fast-paced Finance Assistant role within a busy housing association's finance team, with a strong focus on high-volume purchase ledger processing.




You'll be supporting day-to-day transactional finance activity, working to deadlines and handling a steady flow of invoices and supplier queries. The team needs someone who has been in a similar environment before and can hit the ground running quickly.




This role is well suited to someone who enjoys structured, process-driven work, is comfortable managing volume, and takes pride in keeping things accurate and organised under pressure.

The Role

You will play a key part in keeping the purchase ledger running smoothly.




Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices in line with internal processes
  • Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assisting with payment runs and general finance support tasks
  • Working closely with the wider finance team to meet deadlines
What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a finance assistant or purchase ledger role
  • Confidence working with high-volume, manual invoice processing
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Comfortable working in an office environment

Desirable:

  • Experience within housing, public sector, or not-for-profit
  • Familiarity with finance systems and spreadsheets
