Summary
Trainee Administrator
The successful Trainee Administrator will be processing sales orders and contributing to order fulfilment. This junior-level role plays a key part in delivering excellent service to customers, maintaining internal accuracy, and supporting cross-functional efficiency.
The Trainee Administrator role will include:
• Accurately process daily sales orders via ERP and CRM systems
• Ensure additional services (e.g. kitting, job cards) are recorded against the order
• Track shipment progress and delivery status using courier platforms
• Maintain clear, concise system notes for every customer interaction
• Act as a first point of contact for internal and external order-related queries
• Respond to courier issues as part of end-to-end customer account support
• Communicate professionally via phone and email to resolve queries efficiently
• Proactively update customers on order and delivery status
• Liaise with Sales, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams to ensure timely fulfilment
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of processes
Required Skills & Attributes of the Trainee Administrator:
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work flexibly and under pressure as part of a small team
• Organised, proactive and willing to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
Qualifications & Experience of the Trainee Administrator
• GCSE Grade 5 or equivalent in Maths and English
• Strong IT skills – confident using MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and CRM / ERP systems
• Prior experience in order processing or admin support is advantageous • Full UK driving licence preferred
