Summary
Responding to emails/telephone calls. Co-ordinating, planning and organising teaching programmes for doctors. Acting on the request from doctors and using initiative to provide the relevant information. Setting up electrical equipment for teaching sessions. Liaison with partner services and organisations outside the Trust. Raising invoices for payment of speakers/trainers. Assisting the Medical Education team. A good understanding of Excel. Working under pressure and problem solving. The role will require capacity to make decisions. Data input and the storage of attendance logs for medics requirements. Maintaining and updating new suggestions from doctors. Room Bookings/Setting up rooms. 1. SMT (Senior Medical Team Meeting) Schedule SMT in advance to include all relevant consultants and senior medics / clinical directors Attend monthly SMT meetings via MS Teams Prepare agendas and support chair in following up actions Take minutes, record and distribute documents following the meeting Preparing Core Psychiatry programmes Support Module Leads to complete the six-week module plans Liaise with assigned lecturers Manage payments due for external lecturers and simulated patients Manage online learning support available for trainees in preparation for exams Maintain weekly contact with trainees in preparation for the teaching Collect and maintain records of trainee attendance for ARCP Arrange and manage external mock CASC exams twice a year for core trainees. Arrange on behalf of module leads simulated patient as required for: Communication Skills, Mini Mock CASC for Year 1 trainees, CASC practice To lead advertising for module lead roles as and when they become vacant. To arrange meetings with Module Leads as directed by Programme Lead To have weekly meetings with Programme Lead with updates and directive on matters requiring lead input.
