Here at Serco, we work with Asylum Accommodation and Support Services to assist individuals through the asylum system, which includes providing them with temporary accommodation. AASC contracts offer a range of improvements, with a particular focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system. They will ensure that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need and set clear requirements on the standard and condition of accommodation.
You are required to have a valid UK driving licence for this role. This is a field-based role, covering Midlands & East of England.
We're recruiting an experienced and dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Serco. As a key member of the Operations Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring a quality service is delivered by your team of cleaners, in compliance with the AASC contract.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the cleaning manager in managing and auditing the performance of the cleaners
- Ensuring the department meets all operational needs on a day-to-day basis
- Ensuring compliance with the AASC contract, company policies, processes, and procedures for their designated area of responsibility
- Ensuring that all properties within the NW Region are cleaned to the required contractual standard prior to the dispersal of service users and/or as part of cyclical and pre-planned cleans of communal areas within HMO properties
- Developing a detailed program of cyclical and pre-planned cleans of HMO properties and establishing an audit plan to ensure that all cleans are completed to the correct contractual standard
What you'll need to do the role
- Previous experience within a cleaning environment and exposure to staff management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and the ability to adapt to bespoke IT systems
- Proven communication skills
- Ability to travel within the regions and occasionally within the UK (a valid UK driver’s license is essential
