Job Description:

Vibe Care are hiring experienced Support Workers for our client in Wallingford! We're looking for candidates who excel in diverse supported living settings, who naturally have a caring and compassionate nature. The ideal candidate will possess a positive and patient outlook; confident in delivering person centered care to the highest of standards.

What skills and experience are we looking for in candidates?

  • Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism & complex needs
  • Minimum 12 months experience working for a care agency or 6 months in a permanent care role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience supporting individuals displaying behaviours that may challenge
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Dedicated, honest and reliable

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Daily tasks will often include personal care, meal preparation and manual handling
  • Accompanying clients to medical appointments and social outings
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' behaviour or health conditions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress
