Summary
A well-established, reputable and family run law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join its team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, professional individual with previous experience in conveyancing support who enjoys working in a fast-paced, busy and conveyancing legal environment.
The firms practice areas include residential and commercial conveyancing and Private Client work.
About the Role:
The Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary will provide vital day-to-day support to a senior Solicitor with substantial caseloads, ensuring that all administrative and client service tasks are handled efficiently and to a high standard, from instruction through to completion. The role is suited to someone who is confident in conveyancing processes and able to work with minimal supervision.
This position offers a varied workload and the chance to be part of a small, friendly and collaborative team.
Hours of work Mon - Fri 08:45 - 13:00 and 14:00 - 17:00
Salary: Competitive.
Main Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting senior fee earners with the conveyancing process
• Preparing legal documentation, correspondence and contracts using the firm's case management system
• Liaising courteously with clients, colleagues, solicitors, estate agents and lenders
• Undertaking general administrative tasks and assisting with case preparation
• Maintaining accurate digital and physical files ensuring that all case records are kept up to date
• Managing workload priorities to meet deadlines and maintain service excellence in a busy office setting
About You:
The firm is looking for confident and motivated individuals who take pride in delivering efficient and professional support.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within residential conveyancing (with a minimum of 2 years experience)
• Strong typing and document-production skills, with knowledge of legal terminology
• Excellent organisation and multitasking abilities, with close attention to detail
• Professional and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and case management software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive legal team
