Summary

Require a conscientious & hard-working person to take on the role of Legal Receptionist/Junior Assistant (Conveyancing and Private Client). Applicants will require good literacy, numeracy, computer skills & must be an efficient typist. They must be flexible in the workplace with the ability to work calmly under pressure whilst maintaining a high standard of work & client care.

Salary: Competitive.

Initially

All aspects of General Reception Duties including: -
1. All aspects of post including opening, sorting, listing cheques, franking etc. Sending out. Dealing with initial correspondence.
2. Answering phone calls, taking messages, dealing with general enquiries on the phone and with clients in reception.
3. Filing – Deeds, Wills, Probate and files, ensuring our database and index cards are accurately kept up to date. Searching for deeds, Probates, Wills and files upon request.
4. Photocopying.
5. Opening new files
7. Keeping the office and reception area generally tidy.

On progression – Full training will be given

1. Applying for Title Deeds/ Office Copy Entries
2. Applying for relevant searches i.e. Local, Water, Environmental, Land Registry and Bankruptcy etc.
3. Dealing with conveyancing completions – preparing bank wire forms, sending out deeds etc.
4. Dealing with conveyancing post completion work – Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, Registrations, preparing Bills, Completion Statements etc.
