The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Working collaboratively with the Director of Headway to ensure all students have high quality programmes of support implemented to ensure they are successful
• Ensuring every student is supported academically through targeted support
• Planning and delivering outstanding intervention and support programmes which may be linked to social and emotional needs
• Assessing, recording and reporting on student achievement, progress and development.
The following qualifications and experience are essential:
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) Grade C or above
• Experience of working with students with additional needs within a secondary school
• Knowledge of how students learn and how additional needs might impact on this
• Knowledge of SEND needs such as ADHD and Autism and how these can be supported
• Using ICT to support students’ learning
• Using differentiation strategies to support a range of learning needs effectively
