About me
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Special Needs Support Worker to provide care and support to two children, aged 15 and 12, both with autism. The primary focus will be on the 15-year-old, who also has a learning disability, anxiety, and type 1 diabetes. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized support and care
- Assisting with daily routines and activities
- Managing and monitoring diabetes (training will be provided)
- Promoting emotional well-being and positive behaviour
- Occasionally supporting the 12-year-old sibling with mild autism

Female Support Worker required *Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies
Hours, days and times of work: Up to 15 hours per week during term time, and up to 30 hours per week during school holidays (flexible scheduling)
Pay rate: £14.00 per hour
Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme but I will fulfil my statutory obligations via the NEST pension scheme.
