Summary
Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven Regional Transport Partnerships. As well as running the iconic Glasgow Subway, SPT delivers an extensive range of public transport services including bus stations and subsidised bus services, manages large transport infrastructure projects and is responsible for delivery of a long-term multi-modal transport strategy for the West of Scotland. About the role Within the Bus Strategy & Delivery department, focused on delivering and improving Public Transport provision in the West of Scotland, we have a great opportunity to join our Network Analysis & Design team as an Admin Assistant.Working collaboratively across SPT, to support the aims set out in the Regional Transport Strategy, we are looking for the best talent to deliver on our ambitions. The Admin Assistant will report to the Network Analysis & Design Manager.The Admin Assistant will provide support to staff within the Network Analysis & Design team, and other areas of the Bus Strategy & Delivery department, as required. You will assist in the maintenance of all records, filing systems and the computer systems within the team as well as note taking at meetings. You will liaise with and support, where appropriate, other SPT departments, contractors and external bodies. About youThe ideal candidate will have good administrative skills and is competent and confident in using Microsoft Office packages. You will be self-motivated and committed to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. The ideal candidate should be able to organise and prioritise their own workload and be able to work under pressure. Having good geographical knowledge of the SPT area of responsibility is desired.Full time hours will be 35 hours per week working Monday to Friday. The nature of this role may require you to work outwith normal office hours on occasion to support the operational requirements.Whilst you will be based at 131 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, SPT operate a temporary hybrid working pattern which allows 40% home working, i.e. 2 days per week Monday to Friday.
