Roles & Responsibilities-
Targeted Support: Delivering bespoke literacy and numeracy interventions to small groups to bridge attainment gaps.

Inclusion Advocacy: Working closely with the SENCo to implement individual learning plans for pupils with varied additional needs.

Classroom Synergy: Acting as a proactive partner to the Class Teacher, anticipating needs and preparing the learning environment to ensure fluid lesson delivery.

Behavioural Mentoring: Utilising positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques to support pupils in managing their emotions and social interactions.

Progress Tracking: Observing and documenting pupil milestones, providing the teaching team with vital insights into individual development.

Pastoral Care: Providing a safe, nurturing presence during unstructured times such as break and lunch to promote positive play.

Qualifications: A relevant Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is essential for this post.

Experience: Recent experience working within a primary classroom setting, specifically supporting Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with staff, parents, and external professionals.

Mindset: A resilient, adaptable, and "can-do" attitude that thrives in a fast-paced educational environment.

Safeguarding: A comprehensive understanding of current safeguarding protocols and the "Keeping Children Safe in Education" statutory guidance.

Compliance: An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or the willingness to complete a new application through Randstad.
