Summary
Teaching Assistant
Secondment position fixed term up to 3 years
Location: Hunningley Primary Academy
Salary: £22,364,24 (FTE £25,718)

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm, 39 weeks per year
Hunningley Primary Academy is part of united Learning, a large and growing group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England. We are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant with excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills to work across our school.
The ideal candidate will have experience of Read Write Inc, phonics and the ability to be creative. They would also be willing to work within a range of environments such as in the classroom or supporting children 1:1.

The successful candidate will be experienced in making sure all children make at least expected progress as well as working with Special Educational Needs, being confident in managing students with social communication difficulties. They will need an understanding of how to create a dynamic learning environment to maintain pupil participation and are able to promote enriched learning opportunities.
Successful candidates will:
• Have a positive approach to behaviour
• Be able to develop children's self-esteem
• Be aware of assessment for learning approaches
• Be creative and innovative within the classroom
• Has at least GCSE Grade C Mathematics and English (or equivalent)
• Has high expectations of themselves and others
• Is organised and enthusiastic
• Has a clear understanding of the Primary Curriculum
• Is a team player - working in partnership with staff, children, parents, and governors
• Promotes positive play in the playground and in the class
• Has the ability to maintain a positive outlook
Candidates must be:

• Experience in EAL and SEN would be beneficial.
