Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rhondda Cynon Taf to assist with the appointment of an Administrative Assistant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.26 - £17.35 per hour
Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will support the Client Finance Supervisor within the Financial Assessment and Charging Team. The role focuses on providing day-to-day administrative and financial support, maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments and invoices, and assisting with general office duties to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining financial databases and records (e.g. Abacus, WCCIS, spreadsheets)
Process payments and raise invoices using council financial systems
Support the Finance Supervisor with daily team workloads
Carry out general office duties including scanning, filing, mail handling and data entry
Ensure records are accurate and updated in a timely manner
Comply with Health & Safety policies and safeguarding responsibilities
Qualification:
4 GCSEs at grade A-C or equivalent, including Maths and English (or Welsh)
Essentials:
Experience using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel
Experience working in a busy office environment
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Accurate data entry and attention to detail
