Summary
We are looking for a Playworker to support our afterschool clubs at East Farleigh Primary School in Maidstone.
Term-Time Only | £10.00 – £12.21 p/h | 14 hrs per week
You’ll help create a safe, welcoming environment, support and lead play-based activities, encourage positive behaviour, and ensure children are well cared for at all times.
Day-to-day tasks include:
Leading fun and engaging play activities
Supervising children aged 4–11 in a school club setting
Ensuring safeguarding and safety procedures are always followed
Serving snacks and promoting healthy habits
Working closely with parents, carers, and colleagues
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
Aged 18+ (due to insurance and Ofsted regulations)
Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or play settings
Confidence supporting play in a structured but fun environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable (but not required):
A childcare qualification (or working towards one)
First Aid, Safeguarding, or Food Hygiene certificates
Full UK driving licence (for flexibility across sites)
