Casual hours during exam periodsGrade 5 (£13.05 per hour)The school is looking to recruit committed and enthusiastic Exam Invigilators, to work with the Exams officer and in conjunction with fellow invigilators, ensuring comprehensive supervision of candidates.Key Responsibilities:• To work under the direction of the Exams Officer and, in conjunction with fellow invigilators.
• Security and safety of examination papers and materials outside the exams office
• To ensure that the regulations for the conduct of examinations are adhered to in the exam room
• To assist the admittance of candidates into the exam room
• Maintenance of quiet in the examination room and immediate vicinity
• Distribution and collection of examination papers and materials in the exam room
• Completion of seating plan
• Handling of malpractice incidents in the exam room
• Reporting of malpractice incidents and writing of subsequent reports where necessary
• To summon assistance from the Exams Officer when required
• Return of examination papers and materials to the examination office
• Escorting of candidates to allocated areas in emergency situations while ensuring that candidates do not communicate with each other
• Escorting candidates with exam clashes to and from the exam room when required
• Supervision of students with examination clashes when required
• Supervision of scribes/readers to ensure that unauthorised communication does not take place with the student during the exam
• To be aware that all staff are responsible for the safeguarding and promoting of the welfare of children.
• The post-holder will be required to carry out any other duties within the purview of the grade as directed by the Exams Officer
