P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join their team based in Lowestoft on a full-time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintain and service systems including: Fire alarms, Emergency lighting, Fire extinguishers, Intruder alarms, CCTV and Access control.
• Work across commercial and domestic sites.
• Carry out minor works and install additional devices.
• Audit, test, and identify required remedial work.
• Complete service and maintenance documentation accurately.
Person Specification:
• Strong team player who is reliable and self-motivated.
• 3–5 years’ experience in fire/security system maintenance (preferred).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Able to work independently and professionally with clients.
• Interest in long-term development within the company.
• Able to travel across Norfolk and Suffolk.
• Driving License.
Working Hours:
• Mon-Fri: 08:30am-17:00am
• 40 Hours per week
Working Benefits:
• Company van provided (may be taken home).
• Overtime paid at time and a half (on request).
• On-call rota: 1 in 5, moving to 1 in 6 (payment structure TBC).
• 23 days’ holiday + bank holidays.
• Additional 2 days’ annual leave every 5 years of service.
• Basic pension scheme.
• Travel area limited to within 1.5 hours of the Lowestoft head office.
• Work across a variety of systems and contract types.
