An exciting opportunity is available for a confident, forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, friendly and highly experienced clinical team. This full-time position is ideal for a candidate with prior experience in UK small animal general practice who enjoys a balanced caseload of consultations and surgery, and who is motivated to contribute to the continued growth and development of a busy, community-focused practice.
This RCVS-registered, 24-hour small animal hospital is exceptionally well equipped, offering a broad range of advanced surgical and diagnostic services including CT imaging, dentistry, ECG, endoscopy, in-house laboratory facilities, an orthopaedic theatre, ultrasound and digital radiography. The practice is proud of its reputation for delivering highly personalised, compassionate care to a loyal client base, and places strong emphasis on mentoring, professional development and clinical excellence.
The successful candidate will work alongside a supportive and skilled clinical team, including two Advanced Practitioner certificate holders and a Veterinary Surgeon holding a surgical certificate. The role offers a four-day working week and a fair and structured weekend rota of 1 in 6 full weekends, with flexible working arrangements considered to promote a healthy work-life balance.

Candidate Requirements:
• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional standards of patient and client care
• Experience of working effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
• Demonstrable clinical leadership capability
• Experience contributing to a progressive, high-quality clinical culture
• Understanding of and experience in supporting nurseâ€led consults and Schedule 3 procedures to enhance clinical efficiency
• Strong coaching, mentoring and influencing skills to support colleague development
