A high-profile Barclays corporate catering operation in Canary Wharf is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support increased workload and special events. This is a fast-paced, high-standard commercial kitchen delivering premium corporate dining.

Role Overview

Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations

Leading service on hot, cold, or event-based sections as required

Preparing high-quality dishes to corporate dining standards

Ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control

Managing junior kitchen staff and delegating tasks

Maintaining strict food safety, allergen controls, and HACCP compliance

Assisting with menu planning and event preparation during peak periods

Mandatory Requirements for Barclays Catering Roles

Basic DBS

Adverse Credit Check

NVQ Level 2 Food Safety

Allergen Awareness Certificate

Previous Sous Chef experience in a corporate, hotel, or high-volume kitchen

Strong understanding of hygiene, allergen legislation, and HACCP processes

Pay and Hours

Pay rate: £18.45 per hour (PAYE)

Monday–Friday corporate kitchen hours

Temporary cover for increased workload and events
