Summary
Overview
The Business Support Manager oversees day-to-day operations across IT support functions and ensures work is allocated, tracked and delivered on schedule. They plan team workloads, assign tasks, delegate responsibilities and help maintain smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work Planning and Team Coordination
• Plan work schedules for the business support team and allocate tasks to meet operational needs.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and monitor workload distribution to maintain efficiency.
• Coordinate day-to-day business support activities to ensure smooth running of operations.
2. Correspondence, Records and Enquiry Management
• Advise staff on how to manage enquiries and correspondence relating to accounts, sales data, statistical reports and vacancy records.
• Oversee the handling, maintenance and accuracy of internal records and documentation.
• Ensure timely response to enquiries and maintain professional communication standards.
3. Process Compliance and Policy Administration
• Make sure procedures for approving, issuing, amending or authorising policy-related documentation are followed correctly.
• Monitor compliance with internal processes and organisational guidelines.
• Support quality checks and help resolve discrepancies in documentation or workflow.
4. Office and Resource Coordination
• Plan, organise and coordinate the work and resources of business support functions across offices or service areas.
• Ensure staff, tools and information are available to support business operations effectively.
5. Operational Improvement and Collaboration
• Work with management to improve processes, streamline workflow and remove bottlenecks.
• Liaise with internal departments to support collaborative work and information flow.
• Contribute to operational planning and support initiatives that enhance service delivery.
