Our current Practice Manager is moving on, and were now looking for a confident, capable, and compassionatePractice Business Managerto help lead our next phase of growth. This is a senior leadership role at the core of our organisation one that balances strategic oversight with day-to-day operational excellence. Youll work closely with the GP Partners and our multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care, while ensuring the business runs smoothly and efficiently. Main Duties of the Job Provide inspiring leadership to our practice team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture. Oversee HR and people management including recruitment, staff development, wellbeing, and performance management. Take responsibility for financial management: budgets, payroll, income streams (QOF, IIF, LES/DES, PCN), and business planning. Ensure full compliance with CQC, GDPR, DSPT, Health & Safety, and safeguarding standards. Drive digital transformation, maximising tools such as Anima AI and Ardens Manager to streamline processes and improve outcomes. Support strategic development, including estate planning and service expansion to meet future population needs. Build strong relationships across our PCN, ICB, and local health networks, representing the practice at key forums. Engage with our patient community through the PPG, digital platforms, and meaningful communication. Work collaboratively with partners to maintain an efficient, compassionate, and sustainable practice environment. About You Were looking for someone who is motivated, resilient, and capable of leading with both professionalism and warmth. Youll have the confidence to manage complexity, the empathy to support your team, and the drive to make continuous improvement part of everyday life. Essential: Proven leadership and management experience, ideally within healthcare or a similar complex environment. Strong HR and people management skills. Sound financial and business management expertise. Experience in governance, risk, and compliance. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong IT and digital literacy, including confidence with data analysis and practice systems. Desirable: Previous experience within primary care or NHS management. Estates or project management experience. A formal qualification in management, business, or healthcare leadership. Terms and Conditions Hours:Full-time (37.5 hours per week), with flexibility for a 4-day week or alternative arrangements. Working:On-site leadership presence required; scope for some remote working. Salary:£65,000 £70,000 per annum (FTE, dependent on experience). Contract:Permanent.
