Summary

Job Title: Registered Children’s Home Manager – 3 Bed EBD Home
Location: Telford, Shropshire
Salary: £56,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE) + performance bonus
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

A well-established care provider is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Children’s Home Manager to oversee a 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled leader who is passionate about transforming the lives of vulnerable young people and delivering outstanding care.

The Role

The Registered Manager will take full responsibility for the leadership, development, and compliance of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained in line with Ofsted and relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strong, consistent leadership and direction to the staff team


  • Ensuring the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements


  • Overseeing the development and implementation of individualised care plans


  • Managing staffing levels, rotas, recruitment, and performance


  • Overseeing budgets and resources effectively


  • Promoting positive outcomes and developments for all young people in the home


  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals


    The Ideal Candidate

    The successful candidate will have:

    • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children’s & Young People), or a commitment to achieving it


    • A minimum of two years’ experience within a children’s residential setting, including management or senior experience


    • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience supporting children with EBD


    • A detailed understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, and relevant legislation


    • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills


    • A genuine commitment to improving the lives and futures of young people
