Summary
Neway International are seeking a Tenancy Services Co-ordinator – Housing to join our client based with Ashfield District Council.
Location: Urban Road, Kirkby, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG17 8DA
Hours per week: 37
Start Date: 15 December 2025
End Date: Initially for a 6 month contract.

Role: Tenancy Services Co-ordinator
We are seeking a proactive Tenancy Services Co-ordinator to support the Tenancy/Estates Team by managing appointments, coordinating housing surgeries and inspections, and administering tenancy-related requests. This role is fully office-based, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake specialist housing management activities in line with procedures and standards.
Maintain appointment systems and coordinate housing surgeries, estate inspections, new tenant visits, and tenancy reviews.
Administer requests for mutual exchanges, successions, tenancy assignments, and permissions.
Handle incoming and outgoing calls, enquiries, and encourage customer feedback.
Provide reception duties, housing advice, and support Housing Officers with inspections and tenancy visits.
Administer TV licences, keys/fobs, screening requests, and other tenancy-related referrals.
Assist with sheltered scheme reviews and refurbishments.
Provide support/cover for the Lifeline Service during absence periods.
Collect, collate, and prepare statistical information and performance data.
Undertake general administrative tasks including word processing, minute taking, and correspondence.
Operate and maintain electronic filing and housing management systems.
Contribute to team performance targets and suggest service improvements.
Candidate Requirements
Understanding of social housing issues and their impact on tenants.
Experience in call handling and customer service.
Experience working in an office environment and with the public.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritise workload and work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and ability to create spreadsheets and manage sensitive information.
Team player with initiative and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information
Fully onsite role – no hybrid working available.
Based at Urban Road offices, with travel across the Council district as required.
DBS check may be required.
Council operates a no-smoking policy across premises and vehicles.
