Hybrid – you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 3 days per week or 60% of your working time in the office.

The City of London’s Housing Service manages 12 estates, totalling 5500 homes. Three of these estates are in the Square Mile (including the iconic Barbican Estate) and a further 9 estates are in neighbouring London boroughs.   

Our tenants and leaseholders are at the heart of everything we do, supporting us as we strive to effectively manage, maintain, and improve the property that is their home. 

The Major Works Team (HRA) is primarily responsible for the delivery of an ambitious capital programme of planned maintenance refurbishment to the Corporation’s social housing stock over the next 10 years.  Works will include roof and window replacement, communal decorations, mechanical and electrical upgrades, fire safety, internal decent homes, and potentially some decarbonisation elements.  

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Resident Liaison Officer, keen to work as part of a structured team and with a real passion for resident engagement within social housing.  This will be an opportunity to shape a key role from the outset.    

The successful candidate will have excellent people skills and significant experience of dealing with a range of customers and stakeholders, often in challenging circumstances.  Experience of working in refurbishment would be of benefit, either client-side or for a contractor.   

Being customer focused and having the right attitude, drive and enthusiasm are also key ingredients for this role.
