Kisharon Langdon UK has an exciting opportunity for a Jewish Living Facilitator to join their growing team in Golders Green, North West London.

Kisharon Langdon are a newly merged charity offering a wider breadth of services of enhanced quality, enabling us to better support people with a learning disability and autistic people and their families. From nursery and school to further education, through to employment opportunities and supported living, Kisharon Langdon will enable people with a learning disability and autistic people to thrive and realise their ambitions and aspirations. Whilst we support the Jewish community, we celebrate and benefit from the diversity of the communities in which we are based and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

The Role

The Jewish Living Facilitator will assist the Head of Jewish Living to support a wide range of Jewish experiences and enabling them to live the religious aspects of their life as they wish to.

Acting as the “go to” person for advice on Jewish matters in this service.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering Limudei Kodesh/Jewish Studies and Parsha sessions to people supported at Good Days and Supported Living, both 1:1 and in small groups.
Facilitate davening and helping men put on Tefillin at Good Days
Run music and singing sessions (both Jewish and secular) at Good Days and in Supported Living, including some early evening sessions and playing at events such as Chanukah, Purim and Succot parties.
Champion engagement with people we support and employees, act with integrity, share information, celebrate achievements, and be a welcome and familiar presence in the homes and services to contribute to our aims and the wellbeing of those we support.
About You

The successful applicant should be educated to GSCE level (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, or have equivalent experience in working with people with learning disabilities in formal/informal education.

It would be desirable if you have the ability to provide musical accompaniment and have a Yeshiva/Seminary Background.

Applicant should have a strong background and advanced knowledge of orthodox Jewish observance. Flexibility and the ability to work evenings and weekends is essential for this role. You will have the ability and commitment to promote person-centred support.
