Summary

Level 3 Teaching Assistant

36 hours per week, 38.8 weeks per annum

Grade E SCP 11 16, £28,142 - £30,518 (pro rata to the hours and weeks worked)

Development Opportunity

The Board of Trustees wishto provideopportunity foranenthusiasticLevel 3 Teaching Assistant.We are looking for a highly motivated candidateto become part of our school team. The post holderwill be initially based at Greenfield Academy.


The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion and commitment to working with children with Special Educational Needs

  • Understanding of the barriers to learning that children with special educational needs may face and be able to use effective strategies to support them, including experience of delivering SEND interventions

  • NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experienceor willingness to work towards

  • Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 2 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework

  • Completion of Department for Education Teacher Assistant Induction Programme (orto complete within first term)

  • Experience of working with learning resources and helping with their preparation to support learning programmes

  • Experience ofworking with or caring for children of a relevant age to those in the school

  • Communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers

  • Basic understanding of a child’s development and learning.
