The Opportunity
As SHE Officer, you'll be the primary point of contact for all safety, health, and environmental matters across the UK. Reporting to the Group Health and Safety Manager, you'll support compliance, risk management, and the ISO Integrated Management System while ensuring employees have the guidance, tools, and knowledge to work safely and responsibly.

You'll conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments, develop policies, and drive initiatives that embed safety and sustainability into every aspect of the business. This role is ideal for a proactive health and safety professional looking to broaden their portfolio and advance their career within a leading engineering and energy company.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead SHE initiatives, audits, and risk assessments across sites.
  • Support ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 compliance.
  • Develop policies, guidance, and training for staff.
  • Collaborate with Operations and SHEQ teams to ensure best practices.
  • Monitor SHE KPIs and promote continuous improvement.

About You:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) + Level 3 Environmental Management.
  • 3+ years' experience in construction, mechanical, or electrical engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SHE legislation, ISO standards, CDM, LOLER, PUWER, and Gas/Electricity regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, confident in audits and reporting.
  • Full UK Driving Licence with willingness to travel.
