Summary

We are recruiting a Contracts Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Tir y Berth Depot

Team: Waste Strategy and Operations


This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 - £41,771 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts for the effective treatment, recovery and disposal of a range of waste and recycling materials. This involves developing specifications and tender documents that facilitates the delivery of a sustainable waste management service and enables the Authority to achieve the statutory recycling targets.



You will Implement policy and procedures that facilitate the delivery of services in a legally compliant, citizen focussed and sustainable way.



For the role, we ask that you have:

A Relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
Knowledge and understanding of contract management, procurement, regulation and governance.
Experience and understanding of procurement and contract management.
Commitment to maintain and enhance technical skills on an ongoing basis.
The ability to travel to attend meetings and site visits (occasional).
