Summary
As a Sports Inclusion Mentor, you'll play a vital part in helping students build confidence, self-esteem, and emotional well-being through positive experiences and relationships. Every day offers variety, reward, and the chance to make a real difference.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students aged 11-16 through 1:1 and small-group mentoring, helping them re-engage with learning and personal growth.
- Starting each day with a calm morning check-in, setting a relaxed, positive tone.
- Encouraging independence - from making breakfast to choosing daily activities that inspire curiosity and self-belief.
- Taking part in a range of enriching activities such as outdoor walks, team sports, fishing, creative sessions, and well-being experiences.
- Making full use of the fantastic facilities within a large rugby and cricket club - including paddle courts, squash courts, football pitches, and archery.
- Building trusting, nurturing relationships through empathy, patience, and consistent encouragement.

What We're Looking For

- Come from a sport, youth work, or mentoring background, or have experience supporting young people.
- Have a warm, nurturing, and resilient approach to working with children and teenagers.
- Show emotional maturity, patience, and an ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
- Can build genuine, trusting relationships through empathy and consistency.
- Believe that small, caring moments make a big difference.
The Finer Details
- Start Date: January 2nd, 2026
- Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm (occasional early finish at 3:10pm)
- Pay: £90 per day
- Contract: 12-week temp-to-perm pathway
- Training: Free Team Teach certification and ongoing professional development
- Location: Hampshire
