Summary
Vacancy at Discovery College (YMCA Plymouth), Honicknowle Lane, Plymouth
YMCA Plymouth currently requires a teaching assistant to work with students in its ‘Discovery College’.
Part time 22.5 hours (Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday). Fixed Term Contract (one year) – can be extended or made permanent
This post is within school hours and is a term time only post. A 6-month probationary period will apply.
The part time salary is £14,286 per annum (Full time post £23,810 per annum.
The roles are an integral part of the College. The successful applicant will work both independently and under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff undertaking work/care/support to enable students’ better access to learning and to assist the teacher in the management of students in the classroom. In addition, caring for the health needs and well-being of students whilst under their supervision.
The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and two satisfactory references will also be required.
