We’re now looking for an Adaptations Officer to join our team on a fixed term basis up until 31st March 2026. This role offers full-time hours (36.25 per week), and agile working arrangements. About the role As an Adaptations Officer, you’ll work collaboratively as part of a team overseeing the Aids and Adaptations service, working in partnership with Progress Homes and RWP housing teams. You’ll manage the end-to-end process of aids and adaptations for all Group tenants, ensuring that adaptation works are appropriately approved and completed efficiently. You’ll liaise closely with tenants, support providers, contractors, and local authority services to ensure that requests for adaptations fully meet the needs of tenants, enabling them to remain in their homes. You’ll ensure compliance with policies, procedures, relevant regulations and standards throughout the adaptation process, and maintain clear communication with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery. Main duties: Managing the end-to-end process of aids and adaptations for all Group tenants, coordinating across multiple stakeholders and funding streamsLiaising with tenants, support providers, and local authority representatives to ensure adaptations meet tenants’ needs, including signposting for additional funding and processing Disabled Facilities Grant applicationsEnsuring compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant regulations throughout the adaptation processCoordinating and monitoring the Aids and Adaptations budget and contributing to budget monitoring reportsMaintaining accurate records and updating core databases with progress and completion dataAttending local authority panel meetings and supporting the re-tendering of Aids & Adaptations servicesReviewing and maintaining policy and procedure documentation, and supporting continuous service improvement What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have: A good general level of education or equivalent experienceFull driving licence and access to a carExperience working in social rented housing management or supported housingKnowledge of housing management processes and methodsAbility to liaise effectively with other professionals in housing, health, and social servicesAbility to work flexibly, methodically, and organise your own workloadStrong communication skills and a commitment to delivering a high-quality serviceExperience of using computerised systems, including Microsoft Office applications Why Progress?
