Summary

Lincolnshire Archives is seeking a cheerful, confident, and enthusiastic individual to join our small, dedicated team. As a Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll be the welcoming face of our public search room, helping visitors explore Lincolnshire’s rich heritage through our exceptional research facilities.

This is a hands-on role where your passion for history and people will shine. You’ll assist visitors, support their research, and ensure every experience is warm, informative, and memorable.

Key responsibilities
Provide a friendly and professional welcome to all visitors.
Assist with enquiries and guide users through archival resources.
Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the visitor journey.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who:

Has excellent customer service skills and a proactive attitude.
Is passionate about history and heritage.
Is organised, reliable, and a great team player.
Has experience in a visitor-facing or heritage role (desirable).

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.
