What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Head of Year to join our pastoral leadership team as we embark on an exciting period of review and re-set our approached to pastoral care at Saddleworth School.
The role is central to upholding our mission to “Aim High, expecting the best for every student and valuing our whole school community.” The successful candidate will play a key role in driving forward our shared vision and embodying the school’s core values of Ambition, Excellence, and Community in all aspects of their work.
Key aspects of the role would be to:
• Lead and coordinate the pastoral care, guidance, and support or students within a designated year group.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
• Establish and maintain effective systems to monitor, track, and enhance students’ conduct, attendance, wellbeing, and academic progress.
• Work proactively to identify and remove barriers to learning, enabling students to fulfil their potential both personally and academically.
