The Opportunity:

The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Quantum Informatics (QI CDT) is seeking a proactive administrator to support its students and activities. The programme is delivered by a consortium of five institutions working in partnership to train the next generation of Quantum research leaders. These institutions are the University of Edinburgh (lead), Heriot-Watt University, UCL, Oxford University, and the University of Strathclyde. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a large, dynamic team supporting five active CDTs and over 600 Postgraduate Research students in the School of Informatics.



This post is part-time (21 hours per week) and offered for 48 months initially.



Your skills and attributes for success:

Significant experience working in a busy administrative office, ideally in a higher education (HE) environment, with proven ability to take initiative and proactively manage competing job demands.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and flexible attitude, and experience in customer service.
Experience in interpreting, applying, and advising on complex institutional policies and procedures, preferably in the following areas: purchasing, expenses, student recruitment, and on-course student support.
Experience in event management.
Experience in financial administration support.
