Summary
Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – Term Time (Acton, W3)
Salary: £12.21 – £12.50 per hour
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, fixed shift 9am – 4pm
Contract: Term Time Only
VD Recruitment has partnered with a leading group of independent Montessori nurseries and preschools in West London. We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a small, 36-place nursery in Acton (rated Good by Ofsted).
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and engaging activities for children in a safe, stimulating environment.
Deliver the EYFS framework in line with nursery policies and guidelines.
Observe and record children’s progress, ensuring continuity and progression.
Support the key person system, maintaining up-to-date learning journeys/profiles.
Work in partnership with parents/carers, encouraging active involvement in their child’s learning.
Attend parents’ meetings and open days.
Ensure children’s safety, security, and wellbeing at all times, both indoors and on outings.
Contribute to nursery health and safety checks, risk assessments, and cleanliness standards.
Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Childcare & Education
Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
Previous experience in a nursery setting
Paediatric First Aid certificate
Experience as a Key Person
Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
