Hours: 37 hours per week


Location: Working across the Group – Wakefield, Castleford, Selby

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Head of Construction to join our team, and play a key role in driving excellence across our 16-18 curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, inspire and make a real difference in the lives of our learners.

As Deputy Head, you will be vital in ensuring high-quality teaching, learner success, and curriculum development that meets the evolving needs of the Construction industry.

You will:


Assist the Head of Curriculum in the delivery and development of a 16-18 curriculum
Provide leadership for the development and delivery of engaging and relevant materials to support a high standard of teaching and learning
Be the direct line manager for staff within the area, and support the Head of Curriculum with aspects of staff management
Monitor the Curriculum area’s performance against Key Performance Indicators


You will have:


Curriculum relevant Level 4 or professional qualification of an equivalent level
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
GCSE A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent in English and Maths
A Management qualification or equivalent training is desirable but not essential
