ROLE DESCRIPTION

Newcastle College is seeking a proactive Funding and Systems Assistant with excellent attention to detail to join our Central Support Service team. In this vital role, you will support the recording, monitoring, and reporting of additional learning support data, helping to ensure our systems are accurate, compliant, and impactful.

As a Funding and Systems Assistant, you will:

  • Administer key systems such as eSpirals, CRM, and UnitE
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training to colleagues on data input and recording procedures
  • Support with audit and reporting activities, including producing regular reports
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of management information systems
  • Support with the monitoring of ALS income to ensure financial targets are met
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the service to ensure accurate recording of data and funding compliance

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent IT skills and experience using systems like Microsoft Excel and CRM
  • Clear understanding of FE/HE funding regulations, including ALS and HNF
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
  • Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent)
  • A flexible approach and the ability to work calmly under pressure to meet deadlines
