Summary
In this role you will be expected:
To provide support to the Strategic Workforce Planning & Change Manager in the development of Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), managing day-to-day tasks, maintaining records and supporting implementation across HM Naval Base (Devonport).
To support with the delivery of the SWP Strategy for the Naval Base Commander (Devonport) NBC(D)) business, to ensure the organisation has a workforce with the right people, shape, size, time, place, and cost.
To support the Strategic Workforce Planning & Change Manager with Organisational Changes by logging and monitoring the status of changes throughout the process, liaising with change owners and capturing Learning from Experience as appropriate.
Support the organisational change strategy in line with Business Procedure 21 (Organisational Change Management), which understands the needs of the business and senior management. To assist the strategy is managed and maintained in support of Naval Base Authorisation Condition 36.
Schedule the Organisational Capability Committee meetings, prepare the paperwork and attend as minute taker.
Assist the Strategic Workforce Planning & Change Manager with Quality Assurance activities for the People Team.
To attend the Business Management Forum as required on behalf of the SWP & Change Manager, reporting on any assurance activities/procedure updates within the People Team.
To support the Strategic Workforce Planning & Change Manager to provide SME guidance and support to line managers with SWP, Organisational Change and Continual Professional Development (CPD) processes. Principally supporting with the process and maintaining Management Information.
To support the Strategic Workforce Planning & Change Manager with developing and maintaining a Strategic Workforce Plan that allows for future resource planning, CPD planning, sustainability and employee development, ensuring that the NBC(D) business has a capable and motivated workforce for the future.
To work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to promote and strengthen staff resilience. This involves actively communicating and sharing best practices, as well as supporting the use of engagement tools and platforms, signposting staff to appropriate resources when necessary.
In line with Civil Service/Ministry of Defence expectations, the successful candidate will be expected to spend a minimum 60% per week in the office.
