Summary
Undertake occupational therapy assessments as part of a multidisciplinary autism diagnostic pathway (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R, sensory profiles, functional assessments). Work collaboratively with psychologists, speech and language therapists, psychiatrists, and other professionals in diagnostic decision-making. Provide detailed written reports, including functional and sensory needs, to inform diagnosis and recommendations. Support development of care plans, signposting, and onward referrals post-diagnosis. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records in line with professional standards and service policies. Contribute to safeguarding processes, risk assessments, and duty of candour requirements.
