Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a EP&S Support Officer, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.47- £16.31 per hour
Hours per week: 29.60
Summary:
The EP&S Support Officer will provide vital administrative and financial support to the Virtual School service. This role ensures that accurate information is maintained, funding is correctly allocated, and high-quality administrative processes underpin service delivery. The postholder will be responsible for data management, financial processing, and customer-facing support while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with council standards.
Responsibilities:
Process moderated Pupil Education Plans (PEPs), ensuring allocated funding is committed and liaising with the Virtual School Head on any outstanding elements (20%).
Maintain the Welfare Call Management Information System, ensuring all information relating to children in care is accurate and up to date (20%).
Raise purchase orders, process invoices, and provide budget monitoring advice and recommendations to the Virtual School Head (5%).
Undertake additional duties appropriate to the grade of the role, as required (10%).
Essentials:
Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
GCSEs (Grades AC / 94) in English and Maths, or equivalent.
Experience using financial or accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar).
Previous experience in administrative and/or financial support roles.
